Disruptive Lineages: Myth, Memory, and Machine in Feminist Interactive Storytelling Workshop
This virtual workshop explores how feminist and postcolonial approaches to myth and memory can shape alternative frameworks for interactive digital storytelling. Drawing on critical theory, speculative design, and collaborative practice, it invites participants to engage with narrative systems that challenge dominant epistemologies and foreground marginalised voices.
Through lightning talks, collaborative mapping, and speculative prototyping, participants will experiment with interactive narrative forms that reimagine authorship, voice, and structure. The workshop offers a space for critical play at the intersection of memory, machine, and narrative, encouraging the creation of speculative story concepts that move beyond conventional mechanics.
The session is designed for researchers, artists, designers, and doctoral students in digital storytelling, feminist and postcolonial studies, media art, and speculative design. No prior technical expertise is required, only a willingness to reflect and experiment.
OBJECTIVES

Experiment with speculative and non-normative storytelling formats.
Build a shared vocabulary for ethical and inclusive approaches to digital storytelling.
Develop brief prototypes or story concepts through collaborative, hands-on activities.
REGISTRATION
Participation will be limited to approximately 20 people to ensure active engagement.
